Christina Lewis, Psy.D., LCSW-S, BCN. BCB

Christina L. Lewis, PsyD., LCSW-S, BCN, BCB is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with supervisory status, and Board-Certified Neurofeedback and Biofeedback practitioner through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). She is the Founder and Clinical Director of The Biofeedback, Education & Training Center, PLLC in Plano, Texas, a specialized integrative brain health practice dedicated to the assessment and treatment of complex neurological and psychological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, chronic pain, insomnia, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Dr. Lewis’ clinical work focuses on the integration of neuroscience, psychology, and applied health models, combining quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping, neurofeedback, neuromodulation, biofeedback, and evidence-informed psychological interventions to optimize brain function and promote long-term cognitive and emotional regulation. She has developed particular expertise in trauma-related dysregulation and chronic insomnia, utilizing neurocognitive and neurophysiological frameworks to address hyperarousal, disrupted sleep architecture, and stress-mediated nervous system imbalance. Her approach emphasizes individualized assessment and the brain’s capacity for adaptive change through targeted, data-informed interventions designed to improve executive functioning, stress resilience, restorative sleep, and overall brain-body regulation.

Recognized for her expertise in applied neurophysiology and clinical neurotherapy, Dr. Lewis provides professional consultation, supervision, and mentorship for clinicians seeking to incorporate brain-based assessment and neurofeedback into contemporary mental health practice, including guidance for professionals pursuing BCIA credentialing. She also offers both in-person and remote neurofeedback services, expanding access to brain-based care through structured home-training models supported by clinical oversight and data-guided treatment planning. Through mentorship and consultation, she supports practitioners in developing competency in qEEG interpretation, protocol development, and integrative neurotherapeutic treatment planning.

Dr. Lewis earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in Sacramento, California, her Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington, and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas. With more than three decades of clinical experience across inpatient medical rehabilitation, outpatient mental health, and specialized neurotherapy settings, she has developed particular expertise in diagnostically complex and treatment-resistant presentations, integrating neurophysiological data with comprehensive psychological assessment and collaborative care models.

In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Lewis has held diverse professional roles including Senior Neurofeedback Technician and Counselor at The Neurotherapy Center in Houston, Biofeedback Therapist within medical rehabilitation settings, Career Consultant with Right Management, and Executive Board member of The Biofeedback Society of Texas. Her professional experience spans clinical program development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied behavioral health services within both medical and organizational systems.

Dr. Lewis is a published author and contributor to professional literature on integrative psychology, neurotherapies, and psychopharmacology. Her forthcoming book, The NeuroIntegrative Model: An Integrative Guide for Practitioners, introduces a comprehensive clinical framework designed to assist practitioners in effectively integrating biofeedback and neurofeedback into modern psychological practice. The NeuroIntegrative Model synthesizes decades of clinical experience with advances in neuroscience, providing a structured and ethically grounded approach for clinicians seeking to incorporate brain-based therapies into contemporary treatment models.

Through her clinical work, consultation, writing, and mentorship, Dr. Lewis remains committed to advancing the responsible integration of neuroscience and psychology within behavioral health. Her work emphasizes measurable outcomes, collaborative care, expanded access to care through remote services, and the development of practical frameworks that support both practitioner competency and patient-centered brain health.
