PSP Gathering 2025
Graduates of The Professional School of Psychology along with former faculty members and administrators met via Zoom for two hours to share their experiences at PSP and something of their life since leaving this graduate school.
While the organizers of this gathering didn’t want to operate the Gathering with strict marching orders, they did hope to accomplish several things and provide an opportunity for everyone to contribute during this digital meeting. The gathering began with a brief glimpse back over our forty-plus years of providing graduate education. We were fortunate to have some people attending the Gathering who come from all four eras of PSP’s existence: (1) San Francisco campus, (2) Sacramento campus, (3) virtual campus, and (4) international campus. We spent about forty minutes sharing experiences and perspective from these four eras.
The next section of the Gathering was spent sharing personal histories: in what ways have we grown professionally since graduating from or teaching at PSP? What have been some of our special career accomplishments? We devoted the final fifteen minutes to doing a bit of planning. Might these gatherings become a regular event? The strong sentiment was Yes. A planning group was identified to manage the next gathering. Here is the video recording of this gathering.
While many PSP graduates and faculty members were unable to attend the gathering, some of them sent in their written comments regarding life during and after their time at PSP.
